What is moxibustion?
Moxibustion, a form of therapy using the burning of mugwort leaves. This is a small, spongy herb that enhances healing with acupuncture.

Burning of Mugwort leaves.
A traditional Chinese medicine therapy that involves burning dried mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) to stimulate specific points on the body. This therapy has been practised for centuries and is often used in conjunction with acupuncture, although it can also be used as a standalone treatment.
During a moxibustion session, a small cone or stick of dried mugwort is placed on or near the skin at specific acupuncture points or areas of the body. The mugwort is then ignited and burned slowly, producing heat that penetrates into the skin and underlying tissues.
The heat from moxibustion stimulates the flow of Qi, or vital energy, along the body’s meridians.
